Band on the Run is the third studio album by Paul McCartney and Wings, released in December 1973 and widely regarded as McCartney's most successful and celebrated post-Beatles work. Recorded largely at EMI's studio in Lagos, Nigeria, it was aided by the hit singles “Jet” and “Band on the Run” to become the top-selling studio album of 1974 in the UK and Australia.
