Rising up as the Godfather of Goth fronting Bauhaus, Peter Murphy launched his solo career in the mid-'80s, only enhancing his reputation as one of rock's most commanding vocalists. His 1986 solo debut maintains some of that haunting Bauhaus sound, but with an infectious swagger over guitar parts and drum-machine beats he laid down himself. Includes the title track plus a cover of Pere Ubu's "Final Solution."
