Chesky Records' 40th anniversary reissue of Phil Woods' 1989 session with the Tommy Flanagan Trio

Originally released in 1989 as an early milestone for Chesky, this session teams alto saxophonist Phil Woods with pianist Tommy Flanagan, bassist George Mraz and drummer Kenny Washington. The set mixes post-bop originals by Tom Harrell and Hal Galper with tributes to Johnny Hodges and Charlie Parker, and features Woods on clarinet on three tracks.

Reissued as part of the Chesky Original Masters series.
