Atom Heart Mother is the fifth studio album by Pink Floyd, originally released in October 1970. Recorded at Abbey Road Studios, it became the band's first album to reach number one in the UK and eventually went gold in the US. The side-long title suite was created in collaboration with composer Ron Geesin, who received a then-rare outside songwriting credit. The Hipgnosis cover, picturing a cow, was the first Pink Floyd sleeve to feature neither the band's name nor any photos of the group.
