Meddle is the sixth studio album by Pink Floyd, released on 31 October 1971. Recorded between touring commitments at Abbey Road and Morgan Studios in London, the album grew out of a series of novel studio experiments that eventually inspired its signature track, "Echoes." A true group effort with lyrical contributions from each member, Meddle is widely considered a transitional album bridging the Syd Barrett era and the band's emerging 1970s sound. The original vinyl packaging has been lovingly replicated.
