Alfred Lion considered pianist and composer Andrew Hill as unique as Thelonious Monk, and documented Hill's music with a fervor. Recorded in 1964 with a quartet of modern jazz visionaries — Bobby Hutcherson, Richard Davis and Elvin Jones — Judgment! was the third classic album Hill cut in a five-month span that also produced Black Fire and Point of Departure. This Blue Note Classic Vinyl edition is stereo, all-analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.
