Recorded in Paris in December 1958, this is Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers' score for the film Des Femmes Disparaissent. With time short, tenorman and arranger Benny Golson reworked pieces from the Messengers' book into the film's musical sequences alongside three originals, and the band — riding high after their 1958 Olympia concert — preaches the good word in thrilling fashion. A faithful 10-inch facsimile reissue using the original cover art.
