Billie Holiday - Lady In Satin - Analogue Productions 45rpm LP
$59.99
180 Gram 45 RPM Double LP, Gatefold Tip-On Jacket
Released in 1958 on Columbia, Lady in Satin is Billie Holiday's penultimate album issued in her lifetime. Backed by Ray Ellis's 40-piece orchestra of horns, strings, reeds and a three-piece choir, Holiday returns to lush full-orchestral arrangements for a set of songs she had never recorded before. This Analogue Productions edition was mastered by Bernie Grundman from the original analog tape and pressed at Quality Record Pressings, spreading the music across four sides for the best-sounding version yet.
