Trumpeter Blue Mitchell had a soulful, swinging style equally at home in jazz, R&B and funk. This 1965 date features his Horace Silver bandmates Junior Cook (tenor sax) and Gene Taylor (bass), alongside a 24-year-old Chick Corea (piano) and 22-year-old Al Foster (drums). Mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog master tapes, pressed at RTI, and packaged in a deluxe gatefold tip-on jacket.
