Belgian saxophonist Bobby Jaspar enthralled Paris jazz audiences in the 1950s with his smooth, elegant, Stan Getz-influenced playing. Recorded in the studio in December 1955 with Sacha Distel on guitar and René Urtreger on piano, this set blends bebop compositions by Milt Jackson, Dizzy Gillespie and Miles Davis with standards, rendered in a generous cool-jazz idiom. It stands among Jaspar's finest efforts as a leader.
