50th Anniversary Limited Edition, Half-Speed Mastered
March 7th, 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of David Bowie's ninth studio album, Young Americans. The album saw Bowie broaden his horizons into what he called 'Plastic Soul,' delivering his first U.S. number one single in "Fame," co-written with John Lennon and guitarist Carlos Alomar. Recorded largely at Philadelphia's Sigma Sound Studios with Tony Visconti producing, the sessions featured Mike Garson, the late Luther Vandross, and David Sanborn. This pressing was cut half-speed by John Webber at AIR Studios from 192kHz restored masters of the original Record Plant master tapes.
