The Scythe is a collective of rappers united around commonality in sound and skills as MCs, headed by ringleader Denzel Curry and including collaborators A$AP Ferg, Tia Corine, Bktherula, and Key Nyata. Rooted in a budding scene of modern and cross-generational hip-hop, the project picks up the banded spirit of Denzel's foundational Raider Klan days while continuing his futuristic takes on old-school regional rap from Memphis, Houston, and Miami. Combining Denzel's energetic style with classically gritty southern sounds, it pays homage to hip-hop's core while ushering in a rising new guard.
