1962's Moment of Truth, the second Pacific Jazz album from trumpeter, bandleader and composer Gerald Wilson, is regarded as one of the finest of his long career. It features the original version of "Viva Tirado" alongside an all-star big band including Carmell Jones, Bud Shank, Harold Land, Teddy Edwards, Joe Pass, Jimmy Bond and Mel Lewis. Part of Blue Note's acclaimed Tone Poet series — all-analog, mastered from the original tapes by Kevin Gray and pressed at RTI.
