Recorded in 1967 but not released until 1980, Hank Mobley's Third Season is a high-caliber late-'60s hard bop session focused on the tenor saxophonist's own compositions. Joining him are alto saxophonist James Spaulding, trumpeter Lee Morgan, guitarist Sonny Greenwich, pianist Cedar Walton, bassist Walter Booker, and drummer Billy Higgins. Mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog tapes and pressed at RTI in a deluxe gatefold tip-on jacket.
