Jack McDuff - Moon Rappin' - Blue Note Classic LP
$25.99
180g Vinyl LP — Blue Note Classic Vinyl Series, Mastered by Kevin Gray (All-Analog)
Brother Jack McDuff was a well-established soul-jazz organist when he came to Blue Note in 1969. Following his label debut Down Home Style, he made one of the most creatively ambitious albums of his career with 1970's Moon Rappin'. The set features five funky, spaced-out originals including "Flat Backin'" and "Loose Foot," plus "Oblighetto," later sampled by A Tribe Called Quest on "Scenario" and "Check The Rhime." This Classic Vinyl edition is stereo, all-analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes and pressed at Optimal.
