John Lee Hooker - Jealous (40th Anniversary) - LP

40th Anniversary Edition, 1LP

Recorded in 1982 yet unreleased until 1986, Jealous was John Lee Hooker's first album of original material in years, putting him back on a comeback trail that culminated in his GRAMMY Award-winning album The Healer three years later. In contrast to the parade of guest stars on much of his late-period work, Jealous is a down-and-dirty effort from Hooker's seasoned band, featuring reimagined deep cuts from his early catalog. The album went on to win a W.C. Handy Award and earned a GRAMMY nomination.
