Shapes and Sound is the debut LP from jazz saxophonist and composer Kirsten Edkins, and the first release on Cohearent Records — the label arm of famed mastering engineer Kevin Gray's all-tube recording studio. Recorded all-analog/all-tube in December 2021, it features Edkins joined by Gerald Clayton on piano, Ahmet Turkmenoglu on bass, Lemar Guillary on trombone and Chris Wabich on drums. Pressed at RTI in a deluxe tip-on gatefold jacket.
