Guitar is the first proper studio album from Mac DeMarco since 2019's Here Comes the Cowboy. Following the sprawling 199-track One Wayne G and the instrumental Five Easy Hot Dogs, Guitar gathers 12 new songs written, performed, and recorded entirely by Mac at his Los Angeles home studio between November 16–28, 2024. In his words, "I think Guitar is as close to a true representation of where I'm at in my life today as I can manage to put to paper."
