This fifth volume of Reprise's chronological reissue of Neil Young's official catalog contains Freedom, Ragged Glory (expanded with 4 rare tracks), Weld (on vinyl for the first time outside of Europe) and Arc (on vinyl for the first time). Initial pressings are numbered, pressed on 180g vinyl, and housed in a telescoping box.

This period came at a definite turning point in Neil Young's career. With the 1990s about to begin, Young had recently returned to his long-time home at Reprise Records, celebrating the 21-year anniversary of a solo career that had never stopped progressing.
