The Sisters of Mercy's debut album First and Last and Always, originally released in March 1985, was the culmination of five years of independent releases and reached No. 14 on the UK charts. Formed in Leeds by Andrew Eldritch and Gary Marx, the band by this point featured Wayne Hussey and Craig Adams, who would later go on to form The Mission. Pressed on black and red marble vinyl for the album's 40th anniversary.
