Yo! Bum Rush the Show was the debut album from Public Enemy, originally released in 1987 on Def Jam Recordings. The album introduced the sample-heavy sound of production team the Bomb Squad under Rick Rubin's direction, pushing heavy guitars to the front and forging loops, rhythms and samples into a roar with as much in common with rock as rap.
