Rachmaninoff / Wang / Dudamel - The Piano Concertos & Paganini Rhapsody - LP
180g 3LP, Gatefold Jacket
To celebrate the 150th birthday of Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873–1943), Yuja Wang joined the Los Angeles Philharmonic under Gustavo Dudamel to perform all four of the composer's piano concertos and his Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini over two consecutive weekends at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. Deutsche Grammophon now releases the recordings of these sold-out, critically acclaimed performances across three 180-gram LPs. Wang has held these large-scale works in her repertoire since the start of her career, and her long partnership with Dudamel lends the readings a chamber-music intimacy.
