Freaky Styley is the second studio album by Red Hot Chili Peppers, released in 1985. Produced by funk legend George Clinton of Parliament-Funkadelic, it is the closest the band ever came to straight funk, marking guitarist Hillel Slovak's studio debut. The record draws on funk, punk and psychedelia and includes covers of Sly and the Family Stone's "If You Want Me to Stay" and The Meters' "Africa," reworked as "Hollywood (Africa)."
