Rega - Carbon MM Cartridge Stylus

The replacement stylus for the Rega Carbon — and the only separately sold replacement stylus in Rega’s current catalogue.

A stylus is a wear part, and a worn one stops tracking cleanly and starts damaging records. On the Carbon that is a cheap problem to solve, because the stylus assembly detaches: this part pushes on, takes no tools, and needs no realignment because the cartridge body never moves.

It is worth knowing how unusual that is within Rega’s range. The Carbon is the only current Rega cartridge with a factory-supported replaceable stylus — there is no equivalent part for the Nd3, Nd5, Nd7 or Nd9, and none for any of the moving coils. If you own a Planar 1 or Planar 2 with the standard cartridge, this is the part that keeps it going.

Rega publishes no specification sheet for it at all, so the profile and cantilever below are taken from the parent Carbon cartridge page rather than from the stylus listing.
