A reissue of the extremely rare 1989 album by Cameroonian artist Roger Bekono, a key figure in the rise of bikutsi, the Ewondo-language dance-pop style built on interlocking triplet rhythms. Produced with the legendary Mystic Jim and known locally as Jolie Poupée after its hit title track, it became Bekono's best-selling recording and carried bikutsi well beyond Cameroon's borders.
