180 Gram Vinyl, Gatefold 2LP (Mono)
Most of Sarah Vaughan's Columbia recordings were on the commercial side, but not these memorable selections. She recorded eight numbers in 1950 with an octet that included trumpeter Miles Davis, trombonist Bennie Green, clarinetist Tony Scott, and tenorman Budd Johnson. This double-LP edition adds alternate takes to seven of the numbers, none included on the original single LP. The version of "Ain't Misbehavin'" is a true classic, and Sassy has rarely sounded better.
