Iowa is the second studio album by Slipknot, released by Roadrunner Records in 2001 and produced by Ross Robinson and the band. Named for the group's home state, it arrived amid huge anticipation following their self-titled debut, and the resulting pressures made it one of the darkest, most intense chapters of their career. It was also the first full album to feature guitarist Jim Root.
