Louder Than Love is the second studio album by Soundgarden, released in 1989 through A&M Records and the band's first for a major label. The songs feature a metal-leaning grunge sound, several built on unusual time signatures, and it became the band's first album to chart on the Billboard 200. It was the last Soundgarden album to feature original bassist Hiro Yamamoto.
