Stevie Ray Vaughan's third studio album, Soul To Soul, was released in 1985, just two years after his massive debut Texas Flood. Moving into a soulful, R&B-tinged blues sound, SRV added keyboard and saxophone to the band and balanced covers of songs by Hank Ballard, Doyle Bramhall, and Willie Dixon with his own compositions like "Say What!," "Ain't Gone 'N' Give Up On Love," and "Life Without You" — the work of an artist ever passionate about delivering real blues.
