Released on Frontier Records in 1983, the Venice band's self-titled debut is "fast, furious, and funny" hardcore punk — and one of the founding documents of crossover thrash (alongside D.R.I. and S.O.D.). Its centerpiece, "Institutionalized," became one of the first hardcore videos to land serious MTV airplay, and the album has since been cited as a favorite by all of thrash's "big four" and a wave of California punk bands.
