Universe in Blue is a rarity — a collection of live performances originally issued in small-run pressings on Sun Ra's Saturn label around 1972. Recorded at the legendary Lower East Side jazz mecca Slugs' Saloon, where Sun Ra and his band held court almost every Monday night, these raw and unpredictable performances helped cement his reputation for audacious showmanship. This reissue is pressed by RTI and housed in a tip-on sleeve with a fold-out insert.
