Blue On Blue is the 2020 album by renowned music writer, singer and ukulele player Sylvie Simmons, the follow-up to her 2014 debut Sylvie. Reuniting with producer Howe Gelb (Giant Sand) in Tucson, Simmons delivers delicate but bold songs with intimate vocals and intelligent lyrics that first seem dreamy and gentle yet hold hidden barbs. The album was completed after a serious accident left her with a temporarily unusable hand, yet the results are seamless and beautiful throughout.
