40th Anniversary Edition, White Vinyl
Talk Talk's 1982 debut, The Party's Over, was produced by Colin Thurston, a former David Bowie engineer best known for Duran Duran's first two albums. Charting in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and the USA, it pairs classic synth-pop with the lyrical depth that would define frontman Mark Hollis. The album spawned the singles "Mirror Man," "Today," and the eponymous "Talk Talk" — the start of a journey for a band that would evolve from synth-pop into pioneering avant-garde post-rock, influencing artists such as Radiohead and St. Vincent.
