The Doors - The Soft Parade - Analogue Productions LP
180 Gram Vinyl, Double LP Cut at 45 RPM
Released in 1969, The Soft Parade is The Doors' most ambitious and lavishly orchestrated studio album — a bold, brass-and-strings-laden departure that stretched well beyond their garage-psych roots. It's home to the No. 3 smash "Touch Me," the gospel-tinged opener "Tell All the People," the blues workout "Runnin' Blue," and the sprawling, suite-like title track that closes the record with Jim Morrison at his most theatrical. Cut by Doug Sax from the original analog masters and overseen by the band's own producer/engineer Bruce Botnick, this 45 RPM double-LP edition delivers the widest grooves and the fullest, most dynamic sound.
