Fronted by punk poet/composer Chris D., this all-star roots/voodoo combo featured members of X (John Doe, DJ Bonebrake), Los Lobos (Steve Berlin), and The Blasters (Dave Alvin, Bill Bateman). The result is a pulp novel for your ears, with grabbed-by-the-throat vocals buoyed by tight, melodic playing.
