For a brief moment in the late 1960s, the Sacred Mushroom were the hottest act in Cincinnati, Ohio — a bluesy rock/psych combo formed by brothers Larry and Tim Goshorn. They sold out bars and clubs with their astonishing live act but failed to sell through on record. Their sole, self-titled album was released in 1969 on the New York underground Parrallax label before the group disbanded, leaving behind a small but rich musical legacy, reissued here with reverence over 50 years on.
