The Train I'm On was the fifth album by Tony Joe White, produced by Jerry Wexler and Tom Dowd and recorded in 1972 at the legendary Muscle Shoals Sound Studio. Acoustic-textured and built on a close, intimate sound, it is permeated with the dark side of White's swamp-rock — dark, pensive, soulful bluesy rock highlighted by bristling acoustic guitar work. It spawned three singles, including "I've Got a Thing About You Baby," later covered by Elvis Presley.
