Third Man Records' 50th-anniversary celebration of the landmark Ann Arbor Blues Festival collects 24 previously unheard songs by blues legends including Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Junior Wells, Otis Rush and Luther Allison. Presented in 1969 by a small group of blues-obsessed University of Michigan students, these long-lost field recordings have been lovingly restored to capture the electric energy of the landmark concert. Volume 1 includes never-before-seen photographs, artist biographies and extensive liner notes.
