Black Sea is XTC's fourth album, released in 1980 and produced by Steve Lillywhite and Hugh Padgham. With the twin-guitar lineup fully settled and a relentless touring schedule behind them, Andy Partridge and Colin Moulding pushed toward a harder, more muscular rock sound. It became XTC's first UK Top 20 album and yielded the singles "Generals and Majors," "Towers of London" and "Sgt. Rock (Is Going to Help Me)."
