Rio Grande Mud is the second album by American blues-rock band ZZ Top, released in 1972. Here the band hones the tough blues-rock hybrid that would make it a U.S. arena headliner by the mid-seventies. While it didn't spawn the big radio hits of later releases, Rio Grande Mud is an incredibly consistent and inspired early ZZ Top classic.
