The deluxe 2LP set features Jamal's trios with bassists Richard Evans and Jamil Nasser and drummers Chuck Lampkin, Vernel Fournier, and Frank Gant, with audio transferred from the original tape reels and mastered by Bernie Grundman. It includes an extensive booklet with rare photos and interviews, part of "Jazz Detective" Zev Feldman's Deep Digs Music Group venture with Elemental Music.
