Released in 1972, Straight From the Heart arrived two years before her classic "I Can't Stand the Rain" and shows the young Memphis soul singer already fierce and fully formed. Produced by Willie Mitchell with the Hi Rhythm Section, it includes the smoldering "I Feel Like Breaking Up Somebody's Home Tonight."
