In 1961 Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers took on a powerful new shape, with Freddie Hubbard replacing Lee Morgan, Cedar Walton replacing Bobby Timmons, and Curtis Fuller's trombone joining Wayne Shorter and Jymie Merritt. After debuting on Mosaic, the sextet returned to the studio the next month to record Buhaina's Delight. Mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes.
