200g Vinyl, Analogue Productions Prestige Mono Reissue

Taylor's Wailers is the 1957 debut as a leader by drummer Art Taylor, a hard-bop session recorded at Rudy Van Gelder's Hackensack studio. The front line pairs trumpeter Donald Byrd with saxophonists Jackie McLean and Charlie Rouse, alongside pianist Ray Bryant and bassist Wendell Marshall, while one track features a separate session with John Coltrane, Red Garland and Paul Chambers. This Analogue Productions reissue is cut from the original analog masters by Kevin Gray and pressed on 200-gram vinyl by Quality Record Pressings in a deluxe tip-on jacket.
