Audio-Technica - AT-LP5X Manual Direct-Drive USB/Analog Turntable

A fully manual, three-speed direct-drive deck that channels more than 50 years of Audio-Technica's Japanese analog design into serious everyday vinyl playback.

The AT-LP5X is built around a direct-drive DC motor with greater than 1.0 kgf·cm of starting torque and an electronic brake system, ensuring stable, on-axis rotation at 33-1/3, 45 and 78 RPM. An anti-resonance die-cast aluminum platter topped with a 5 mm rubber-damping mat keeps low-frequency noise out of your records, while the external AC adapter handles AC/DC conversion outside the chassis to reduce noise in the signal chain.

The J-shaped tonearm draws inspiration from classic Audio-Technica models of the 1960s and '70s, with a metallic gimbal suspension, precision bearings, adjustable counterweight and anti-skate control. It comes fitted with the lightweight AT-HS6 headshell and an AT-VM95E Dual Moving Magnet cartridge with a replaceable elliptical stylus. A built-in switchable MM/MC phono/line preamp lets you connect directly to powered speakers, a home stereo or a traditional phono input, and the USB output records your vinyl to a computer at 16-bit/44.1 or 48 kHz.
