Audio-Technica's flagship belt-drive turntable, designed from the ground up around its acclaimed VM cartridge line for true high-fidelity vinyl reproduction.
The AT-LP7 is a fully manual, two-speed (33-1/3 and 45 RPM) belt-drive turntable whose DC motor employs a speed-sensor system to maintain accurate platter rotation. A 20 mm-thick anti-resonance polyoxymethylene (POM) platter spins atop a 40 mm-thick MDF chassis, a combination engineered to damp vibration and keep the noise floor low.
The J-shaped tonearm uses a metallic gimbal suspension system with precision bearings for excellent tracking, and comes fitted with the lightweight AT-HS10 headshell and a VM520EB Dual Moving Magnet cartridge offering outstanding channel separation and easy stylus replacement. A built-in switchable phono preamp with both moving magnet (36 dB) and moving coil (56 dB) settings lets the AT-LP7 connect directly to powered speakers or a line input, or run into your own phono stage.
