Recorded in 1971, The Bill Evans Album is unusual in featuring only Evans originals, and is the first record on which he played Fender Rhodes electric piano alongside acoustic. With Eddie Gomez on bass and Marty Morell on drums, it earned Evans two Grammys and includes an electric-piano reading of Waltz for Debby.
