Craft Recordings' Original Jazz Classics reissue of the Bill Evans Trio's landmark 1961 live recording Sunday at the Village Vanguard, cut all-analog (AAA) from the original master tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio and pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI. Captured June 25, 1961 with bassist Scott LaFaro and drummer Paul Motian, it stands among the most celebrated live jazz albums ever made — a showcase of the trio's conversational interplay just days before LaFaro's tragic death.
