The Magic Whip is the eighth studio album by Blur, released in 2015 and their first with the original quartet — Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree — in sixteen years. Sparked by five days of jamming in Hong Kong in 2013, the tracks were later shaped by Coxon and longtime producer Stephen Street before Albarn added lyrics. The result is a reflective, electronics-tinged record spanning "Lonesome Street," "Go Out" and "Ong Ong."
