Bobby Hutcherson - The Kicker - Tone Poet LP
$38.99
All-Analog 180g Vinyl — Blue Note Tone Poet Series
Recorded in 1963, The Kicker was vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson's first session as a leader for Blue Note, though it was shelved and not issued until 1999 — getting its first-ever vinyl release in this Tone Poet edition. A sequel of sorts to Grant Green's masterpiece Idle Moments (cut a month earlier with the same personnel), it features Green on guitar, Joe Henderson on tenor, Duke Pearson on piano, Bob Cranshaw on bass, and Al Harewood on drums. Mastered directly from the original master tapes by Kevin Gray and pressed at RTI.
